Well, my last post was about boys names I’d consider when/if I ever have kids. Both names I suggested might lead me to be punished by the karma-police were I ever to actually use them, but I honestly think they are cool names. That said, I guess I should throw out two girls names I’d use, just to balance things out a bit. So without further ado, here goes:
Imogen - I really like this name! If you are curious, it is inspired by my love of Imogen Heap’s music. The name was first used for Shakespeare’s character Innogen from his play Cymbeline, which was mis-printed, resulting in the name I have chosen.
Sophia/Sophie - Greek for “wisdom”, and a pretty name.
If I was more masochistic, I guess I could consider Ishtar, but I’m not that hung up on the name =P

Heh, I started reading Wikipedia for a couple hours and I think I have two idea for names, if I get around to having kids =P I think they’d be cool first names, but for my children’s sanity, I think I’ll reserve the names for middle-name status. I know no-one really cares, but I just felt like blogging about SOMETHING. Anyway, here goes (btw: both boys names):
Ptolemy - Ancient Greek bad-ass! Oh, how he shall be picked on.
Enoch - got the idea from a character from a book I like. It’s got a cool ring to it, and the name has good roots. My wife will hate this name =D
Perhaps I’ll follow this post up later with girls names. BTW, in case you are wondering, why would I wanna name my kids after such bland names like Tom or John =D

Actually, Happy Birthday to my brother John! Yes, it is my birthday as well, but I’m not THAT egotistical. Here is to 27 years of awesomeness! Maybe I should blog more now that I’m a little older =P

I meant to write a nice post two weeks ago saying “hear yea, hear yea, I have left AQ and am now employed elsewhere!” or something to that effect. But I had to work, so things did not materialize as I had hoped. So, for those who may not know (or have not inferred from the previous sentence) I got a new job! Due to some of the policies in place so I’m not sure if I should say who I work for online, but I will say that I have been wanting to do this job for a while, and so far, it’s been great!
I just completed my first week there and it has been refreshing to say the least. I didn’t quite realize the funk I had been in in my old job until I was actually in a new environment. At my new job, everyone has fun, and there never seems to be a dull moment. I am still in “training” right now, but I can do this job in my sleep. Getting up to speed will be a non-issue. Even though the job is a bit farther away, I’m delighted to go in to work.
Hrm, what else to say? I dunno. I just thought I’d share a little. Ph yeah, I have some new clothing in my wardrobe, all thanks to my new employer… this is great, I don’t have to worry about what I wear to work ever again =D
